PLANT A TREE

 

Given that we are so close to Earth Day, it shouldn't be a surprise that this is on our list of "10 Ways to Grow More Good" around the the world. But planting a tree isn't something to reserve for just one day of the year. Planting a tree brings so many benefits that any day you able to get outside and plant a tree is like a mini Earth Day celebration in and itself. And, honestly, we should be finding as many of those days as we can. As the saying goes, "the best time to plant a tree was 100 years ago. The next best time is today." 

"In other words, planting trees benefits the place you call home and the place we all call home."

Planting a tree means more than just celebrating the planet. The positive effects of being in and around are nature well documented. So the more spaces we can create that enhance those positive effects, the better things will get for our planet and our own local communities. In other words, planting trees benefits the place you call home and the place we all call home: Earth.

We know that planting a tree might not be the easiest thing to accomplish. It might not even be feasible for many people. So as a substitute, we want to say, "Plant anything!"

Plant a garden in your backyard, plant a sunflower on your window sill, or plant a few tomatoes on your porch. Anything you can do to help grow the amount of green space around your local community will positively impact you and the people around you.
